The Software Developer research position will be responsible for design and development of algorithms and ideas related to our risk management platform, along with implementation of these concepts in software prototype applications and modules.
Key Responsibilities
The Software Developer is responsible for design and development of algorithms related to our risk management platform, along with implementation of these ideas in software prototypes.
- Perform complex analysis and design tasks necessary to support development activities
- Create methodologies for risk metric evaluation based on sound scientific principles
- Follow a disciplined approach for development, maintenance, and documentation of software products
- Write white papers describing new inventions
- Continuously foster innovation in our products and development approach
- Work in a team of skilled interdisciplinary professionals in a fast-paced start-up environment
Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong education background in mathematics
- 2+ years of software product development experience with C++, C#, or Objective-C
- Python, Java, and Objective-C (iOS) development (mobile devices) is beneficial
- Practical experience and demonstrable proficiency with modern programming languages is required

- Ability to work independently with guidance from Research and Development lead
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with both peers and management
- Work effectively to meet demanding schedules and multiple timelines within a short project cycle
- Assimilate and apply new information and develop in-depth knowledge of the system being tested
- Analytical and very detail-oriented
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) with all levels of employees, clients, and vendors
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Security Clearance
