Since 1998, Digital Sandbox, Inc. has been a leading provider of risk-optimized solutions for homeland security and natural hazard preparedness.  As a software engineer at our firm, you will develop Digital Sandbox, Inc’s risk management software solution for homeland security in state and local governments. We are focused on client projects that support national, state, and local efforts to counter the threat of terrorism.

Specific responsibilities will include:

This software developer position will be responsible for design and development of Digital Sandbox’s Site Profiler suite of products comprised of server and client applications involving real-time predictive analytics using advanced Bayesian networks, ASP.NET, C# and XML technologies.

The successful candidate will:

• Perform complex analysis and design tasks necessary to support development activities.
• Follow a disciplined approach for development, maintenance, and documentation of software products.
• Continuously foster innovation in our products and development approach.
• Work in a team of skilled interdisciplinary professionals in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Interact with customers, partners, application users and other technical support people.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• 2+ years of enterprise software product development experience with ASP.NET, C#, HTML, and AJAX in Windows environments.
• Practical experience and demonstrable proficiency with ASP.NET or C# is required.

• Ability to meet specified deadlines and work within a short project cycle.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to assimilate and apply new information and develop in-depth knowledge of the system being tested
• Knowledge of multi-platform security models, IIS, SQL Server, object and relational databases, Visual Studio and VSS/CVS.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
