Digital Sandbox Executives Speak at MORS Symposium 2009
Apr 14 2009
Digital Sandbox, provider of the Risk Analysis Center (RAC) suite of risk management software and analysis services, is pleased to announce that Chief Scientist Dr. David Daniels will be participating in today’s panel discussion, “Approaches to and Challenges of Probabilistic Threat Assessments,” part of the three-day Risk-Informed Decision Making for HLS Resource Allocation series being hosted by the Military Operations Research Society (MORS).
Tomorrow, Digital Sandbox Founder and CEO Bryan Ware will be part of the “Perspectives on Terrorism Risk Assessment Challenges” panel discussion, also part of the MORS program.
Mr. Ware will speak specifically on probability-based threat assessment approaches, while Dr. Daniels will examine uncertainties in forecasting terrorism event occurrence. These are critical concerns given that response to terrorist threats must often contend with limited data, under-developed models of terrorist behavior, and intelligent, adaptive adversaries. Digital Sandbox’s insights have been developed over ten years of delivering successful homeland security risk management solutions at the Federal, State, and local levels.
These conversations are part of a multi-panel series involving the country’s top risk science professionals, and are dedicated to helping establish best practices and driving innovation in the field.
