Associate Client Services Manager

The Associate Client Services Manager (CSM) ensures client success through successful project management and project delivery in the fields of public safety risk management, homeland security, and other areas that support these fields.

Specific Responsibilities:

Project Management:
The Associate CSM is responsible for all aspects of project management, including but not limited to:

  • Reviews and acts as the authority on contract or other agreement guidelines
  • Sets up and manages project plan, including detailed budget
  • Prepares for and conducts both internal and client kick-off meetings
  • Corresponds regularly with client(s) and maintains a correspondence log
  • Manages creation of deliverables
  • Solves problems that may arise and elevates problems to Director when they cannot be solved independently
  • Adjusts project plans over time to reflect the current state, while remaining on-time and on-budget
  • Communicates status of projects regularly to Director

Project Delivery:

  • Creates, edits, and finalizes deliverables such as risk briefings, risk reports, threat and hazard reports, critical infrastructure briefings, capability assessments, and gap analyses
  • Edits documents, reports, and briefings to reflect client needs
  • Understands risk analysis software and supports clients in its use
  • Conducts briefings for client(s)
  • Conducts trainings for client(s)
  • Creates Concept of Operations plans

Analysis:

  • Use analytic tools and models
  • Support the analysis, both formal and informal, of client data

Various:

  • Offers state and local subject matter expertise when requested
  • Offers public safety and homeland security subject matter expertise when requested
  • Offer expertise regarding risk, threat, hazards, and critical infrastructure when requested
  • Identifies, communicates, and supports new growth opportunities
  • Stays informed on topics relevant to public safety and homeland security risk analysis and risk management
  • Stays informed on Federal, State, and Local policy and procedures that affect Digital Sandbox’s work or potential work

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, graduate degree is preferred
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in homeland security, emergency management, or other public safety field, at both the strategic-policy level and operational level
  • A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience
Skills:
  • Knowledge of Federal Government and/or State and Local Government standards as related to public safety, homeland security, policy, grants, procurement, and general decision-making
  • Ability to maneuver politically sensitive issues, in person and in writing
  • Strong familiarity with research methods and technique
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in analyzing and resolving confidential, difficult, and sensitive situations
  • Ability to train and provide direction to others
  • Ability to work effectively to meet demanding schedules and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with others
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer and Internet proficiency including MS Office Suite (including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Effective professional communication skills (oral and written) with all levels of employees and clients
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain PCII Certification
  • Ability to travel

Desired Qualifications (preferred, but not required):

  • Graduate Degree in related field
  • Active government clearance
