Risk Analysis Center Features

The Risk Analysis Center (RAC) is Digital Sandbox’s comprehensive, web-based software product that is designed specifically for risk management activities for the public safety community.  It provides intelligent data management, proven analysis methodologies, dynamic data monitoring and visualization, and effective program management and administration tools. With the Risk Analysis Center, users can create an awareness of their assets, threats and hazards, and high risk or socially vulnerable populations; analyze their risk; measure their preparedness capabilities and determine what gaps they have based on their risk; and maintain a strong situational awareness of the ever-changing risk components affecting their jurisdictions.

Data Management

The Risk Analysis Center Data Management Module is an intelligent data repository for the volume of data used in public safety risk management.  The RAC collects data on critical assets, threats, vulnerability assessments, capabilities, incidents, points of contacts, mitigation organizations, socially vulnerable populations, and surveys.  Built-in reporting and visualization utilities allow users to automatically generate reports, perform sophisticated queries, and create compelling data presentations.  Asset data can be exported into external data processing systems.  Population data can be combined with asset data to provide multi-layered views of a jurisdiction’s risk.

Analysis

The RAC’s Analysis Module enables users to perform multiple analyses on the risk data they have collected.  Built-in risk methodologies can be configured for local relevance.  Users can analyze asset risk, threat and natural hazard likelihoods, population risk, and terrorism preparedness.  Risk information is presented through graphs, tables, charts, maps, and analytic reports.

Monitoring

The risk data generated by the Risk Analysis Center is displayed in a wide variety of presentations.  Assets can be viewed geospatially, annotated with user-configured data; real-time threat news can be presented by location; user-created incidents can be displayed in pop-up dashboards; intelligence feeds and local incident reports can be combined to create a real-time holistic view of an area’s risk; and the location of high risk population centers can be displayed independently or combined with other risk data.

Program Management

The Risk Analysis Center’s home page provides managers with immediate understanding of the status of their risk management program.  Data collection tasks, assessment progress, grant allocation histories, program usage reporting – all are quickly accessed through the home page.  High level views of risk, likelihoods, and preparedness based on current data are visible, as are program documents, calendars, and milestones.

Upon logging in, program managers can view what’s been done, what is in progress, and what must be started; who is and isn’t using the system; what the region’s existing risk is; and what events relevant to the program are scheduled.

Administration

Security concerns are managed through the Risk Analysis Center’s Administration Module.  Managers determine user access through role-based assignments tied to data type.  Users can be assigned to more than 10 independent roles, or combinations of roles.  Other access control functions supported in the Risk Analysis Center are C/ACAMS data export activation and PCII data classification.  The Administration Module provides managers access to system and user information, as well as the ability to configure data selection and presentation of the Threat News Monitor.

The Risk Analysis Center Subscription Model

The Risk Analysis Center is a subscription-based product that utilizes the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.  Customers have unlimited web access to all RAC elements (according to permissions granted by administrator), without investing in costly additional infrastructure and equipment. The Risk Analysis Center can also be installed as a standalone product on customer networks, if desired.

The Risk Analysis Center is available 24/7 anywhere there is internet access; connection via mobile devices is also available through the optional RAC Mobile Monitor.  RAC subscribers automatically receive version updates at no charge.  Program administrators have complete control over user definition and access.
