Amit Yoran
Chairman of the Board

Most recently Mr. Yoran was Director of the National Cyber Security Division of the Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection office at the Department of Homeland Security. Prior to joining DHS, Yoran was the vice president for managed security services at Symantec Corporation, where he was primarily responsible for managing security infrastructure in 40 countries. Prior to that, he was the founder, president and CEO of Riptech, Inc., a leader in outsourced information security management and monitoring, which was acquired by Symantec in 2002.

Before working in the private sector, Yoran was the director of the Vulnerability Assessment Program within the Computer Emergency Response Team at the Department of Defense, and the network security manager at the Department of Defense, where he was responsible for maintaining operations of the Pentagon's network. He has a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and an MS from George Washington University.

Christopher Dettmar

Mr. Dettmar has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, and has served as the Chief Financial Officer for a number of firms, ranging from start-ups to multimillion-dollar public companies. Mr. Dettmar's background in mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, and financial structuring provides a valuable resource for the Fund. From May 1997 to January 2000, Mr. Dettmar served as Chief Financial Officer for Infodata Systems, Inc., a software and systems integration firm, where Mr. Dettmar was responsible for the company's successful public offering and financial restructuring. The restructuring was precipitated by the acquisition of two firms, which Mr. Dettmar helped to plan, structure, and execute.

From November 1993 to December 1996, Mr. Dettmar served as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Encompass, Inc., a wireless telecommunications company that successfully obtained venture capital funding and grew to $20 million in revenue. In that role, Mr. Dettmar successfully negotiated a plan to buy out the initial investors in the company in order to obtain more favorable financing terms for the company. This enabled the company to operate with fewer restrictions and greater strategic emphasis. From November 1988 to October 1993, Mr. Dettmar served as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at The Hunter Companies, Inc., a commercial services and brokerage firm. Mr. Dettmar also has served as regional financial manager for a Bell operating company, Chief Financial Officer for a telecommunications software firm that was acquired, and consulting manager at Price Waterhouse & Co.

Mr. Dettmar holds a BS from the University of Virginia, an MBA from the Pennsylvania State University, and is a licensed CPA.

Jeff Friedman

Mr. Friedman co-founded and serves as Managing Director of Monumental Venture Partners, LLC, a Northern Virginia based venture capital firm which invests in companies serving corporate markets in information technology, enterprise software, communications and digital security. Mr. Friedman has a strong background in venture capital investing. He has been the lead on numerous transactions and has been responsible for valuation, deal structure, negotiations, closing, business development, corporate governance, and successful exits. He serves on the board of three of MVP America's portfolio companies.

In addition, Mr. Friedman spent 10 years at MCI Communications Corporation in senior positions in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Ventures. In his M&A role, Mr. Friedman was first chair on a number of successful transactions. Mr. Friedman also established and successfully ran MCI New Ventures. From 1996 to 1998, MCI New Ventures contributed over $50 million to MCI's bottom line.

Mr. Friedman holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the George Washington University.

Don Gilberg

Mr. Gilberg is Senior Advisor at NetWitness, www.netwitness.com, the world's leader of network-based forensics, investigations and incident response technologies. Previously he served as Managing Director of Security Accelerator LLC, a strategic advisory and investment firm serving the homeland and national security markets. He is a Security Consultant to the George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute, www.homelandsecurity.gw.edu, and the Critical Incident Analysis Group (CIAG), www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/ciag. Mr. Gilberg is the former Senior Director of CivitasGroup where he served as a consultant to companies in the security space.

He is an expert on insurance, risk assessment and mitigation, product liability, food chain safety, and corporate intelligence and fraud investigations. He has also been recognized for his expertise in the areas of security, physical protection, planning for, and the response to, terrorist acts, and the legal implications of terrorism response. He is a consultant to the OSS Group, www.ossgroup.com. OSS is a professional consulting group specializing in the research, development, practice, assessment and implementation of technologies associated with response to emergency, crisis, and unconventional acts and situations such as terrorism and mass disaster.

Mr. Gilberg has served as Chairman and CEO of Gilbergroup, providing litigation support and investigative and corporate intelligence services. He previously served as founder and managing partner, and chief trial counsel of Gilberg & Kiernan, where he served as counsel to several Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Gilberg's practice included a specialty in corporate investigations, fraud and white collar criminal matters. Prior to founding Gilberg & Kiernan, he served as Washington D.C. resident partner of a New York City law firm and as an adjunct professor of law. He is also a former counsel to the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and is a member of the American Bar Association, and is admitted to the bar in New York, Massachusetts, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and the United States Supreme Court.

Roland Oliver

Mr. Oliver serves as Chairman and President of Monumental Venture Partners, LLC, a Northern Virginia based venture capital firm which invests in companies serving corporate markets in information technology, enterprise software, communications and digital security. In early 1999, Mr. Oliver launched and organized MVP. He successfully recruited the founders including the MCI New Ventures team, raised capital for the general partnership from selected investors, and formed the MVP America Advisory Board. Mr. Oliver has extensive experience in fund raising, joint ventures, technology transfer, acquisitions, investment assessments, and international expansion in the wireless telecommunications and information technology industries.

Prior to founding MVP, Mr. Oliver was a group vice president for companies of Allen Telecom International, a NYSE firm with $500 million in revenues. While at Comsearch, a privately held company acquired by Allen, Mr. Oliver developed global microwave, satellite and cellular joint ventures and business partnerships with Airtouch, Ericsson, MCI, and Qualcomm. Previously, Mr. Oliver held management positions with companies acquired by Cable & Wireless, Sprint and Verizon.

Mr. Oliver has studied at Oxford University, the University of Kansas Business School, Lynchburg College, and the University of Virginia.
